HD Wallpaper: Ocean view from Julia Pfeiffer State Park in Big Sur, CA
Ah, Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. This is the very spot where I first fell in love with Big Sur (Actually, it may be tied with the legendary view from Nepenthe, but I digress…). The first time we ever went to Big Sur we were on the prowl for the McWay Falls. I’d seen it photographed so many times, and I had to lay my eyes on it. Fast forward a few years and now we’ve been there so many times I feel like I have all of its nooks and crannies memorized. It’s one of my favorite Big Sur spots.
What you don’t see in all photos of those photos of McWay Falls, is the stunning views that lie just behind it, and this is one of my faves. The winding coastline, perfectly clear ocean waters, sandy beach, and the vines growing over the fence – it’s so idyllic. We took you on a photo tour of it before (that’s one of our favorite photo tours actually), and I want to share the wallpaper with you, too. Just so you have it when skies are a little less sunny. Enjoy!
