Weekend Links
(A summer day in Capitola, CA)
Blog I’m loving: The Fielding Report has a good mix of career and lifestyle content. This new-to-me blog is right up my alley.
Currently reading: Decide by Steve McClatchy. I’m about halfway through it and find some of his ideas very refreshing. I’ll pull together a book recommendation once I’ve finished it.
Confession: I officially own three pairs of the same shoe. The Nola Loafer from Coach is insanely comfortable. I have a standing desk at work and these little puppies have saved my feet. I have a pink/coral pair, the ink shade featured here, and a black pair. I love them with a pair of cuffed straight leg jeans. Even better? I got an amazing deal on all three of my pairs at a Bloomingdales outlet.
Speaking of straight leg jeans: I just picked up two pairs of these jeans from J. Crew. They are the most comfortable jeans I’ve ever owned. I love how they just skim the leg. Not too straight, not too skinny. Denim perfection and completely work appropriate.
Favorite tea: A rooibos tea with rose petals and a tropical flair? It’s just too good. I can’t get over how amazing Mighty Leaf Organic African Nectar tea smells (and tastes).
Spring: These pink blooms are popping up on the trees all over my work campus. Aren’t they gorgeous? I am not sure what kind of tree this is, but I am convinced the world would be a better place if this tree was everywhere.
Road trip inspiration: When it’s time for a road trip, this is my inspiration. The best of California all in one spot.
As we head into May and kick off our spring/summer adventures, let’s keep this in mind, and make this our best May yet!
