Honey and Parmesan Glazed Pork Chops with Spicy, Smoky Peach Salsa
Honey and Parmesan Glazed Pork Chops are an old favorite in our home. These little chops are wildly easy to make and when combined with couscous, you have dinner in under 30 minutes. I love that. Even better? Top your chops with spicy, smoky peach salsa and they make the perfect spring dinner.
If you have never made couscous before, Casbah has a fabulous Olive Oil & Garlic flavored couscous that is ready in under 10 minutes. It’s so easy! You literally bring the water to a boil, stir in the couscous, remove from heat, and let it sit for 5 minutes. Voilà! Your couscous is ready. I always prep my couscous on the side while I cook. It’s so low maintenance!
I have previously shared two of my favorite Parmesan Glazed Pork Chop recipes with you. You may remember my Honey-Nutmeg Glazed Pork Chops and Parmesan Glazed Pork Chops recipes. We love them both and tonight I decided to make a hybrid version of the two: Honey and Parmesan Glazed Pork Chops.
Honey and Parmesan Glazed Pork Chops
3 Center-cut pork loins (3/4″ thick)
1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp raw honey
Nutmeg (enough for sprinkling)
First, stir grated Parmesan cheese and raw honey in a small dish until a thick paste forms. Set aside.
Lightly oil a deep frying pan (I use olive oil). Lightly dust nutmeg over one side of each pork loin. Heat on both sides over medium heat, flipping frequently to ensure even frying. Pork loins are ready once they have reached 160 degrees.
Remove pork loins from heat and place on a small baking sheet. Set oven to broil and allow the oven to heat for a couple of minutes. In the meantime, baste pork loins with the honey and grated Parmesan mixture. Place pork on the top oven rack under broil for approximately 30 – 45 seconds. This will create a nice, warm glaze.
Remove pork chops and remember to quickly turn off broiler.
We love to top our glazed pork chops with Trader Joe’s Spicy, Smoky Peach Salsa (pictured here).
The sweet and spicy flare of the salsa is perfect when combined with the honey and Parmesan glaze.
This was the best pork chop meal we have had yet! The pork chops were bursting with flavor and were perfectly tender and juicy. It has taken me a while to perfect my chops. They were a bit drier when I was cooking them at a higher heat. Using a slightly lower heat and a longer cooking time was absolutely worth it! Patience really is a virtue. I am learning! These little guys were absolutely perfect.
