Online Shopping (super deals!) and a Spicy Chicken and Guacamole Naanwich
Day two of working from home was successful. I was able to knock out the rest of my work projects. It looks like the wintry madness has passed through and I can bravely return to the office again tomorrow. I spent almost the entire day stapled to my desk, but I did manage to squeeze in a good run tonight. I will dub that a victory.
When it came to dinner, I had so much I wanted to finish that I decided to go for “quick and easy”.
I did one of these moves: “I will open the fridge, stare for about two minutes, and go after anything my stomach desires.”.
This is what that leads to:
My friends, that would be a Spicy Chicken and Guacamole Naanwich. My mouth still waters just thinking about it.
Want to make one yourself?
Mix together the following ingredients in a small bowl:
- 1 tsp of Tabasco sauce
- Sprinkling of mozzarella or mozzarella soy cheese (I use Soy-station)
- Sprinkling of garlic powder
- 1/4 cup of precooked diced chicken (I use Hormel’s Natural Choice precooked chicken pieces)
Heat chicken mixture in microwave on high for about 40 seconds. Promptly remove and stir until chicken is thoroughly coated.
Top one side of your naan bread with the chicken mixture and the second side with guacamole and baby romaine.
Bring the happy couple together and you have an over-the-top naanwich!
Of course, I couldn’t end the guacamole lovefest there! I threw some Sweet Potato Chips (by Food Should Taste Good) on the side and ate every last bit of that guacamole.
If you haven’t tried naan bread yet, you will just love it. I promise! I use frozen International Fabulous Flats Tandoori Whole-Grain Naan. It’s in the frozen section at my local health market. You bake it for 2 minutes at 400 degrees and it becomes really soft and rich. It’s fabulous!
Internet shoppers: They are some fabulous sales going on right now.
J. Crew is deep into their final sale and the prices are amazing. There are some really cute dresses and tops still up for grabs. May be a good time to stock up!
I also noticed LOFT is offering 60% off their final clearance items. The inventory looked a little sparse to me, but hey, check it out!
If you haven’t yet, make sure you also visit J. Crew Factory. It is only open Friday – Sunday, but they have some really cute pieces at crazy prices. I ordered a few pieces last week that I just love:
I might have a (major) thing for ruffles. Those ruffled tees are the best tops ever. I picked two up at the J.Crew outlets last year and love them. I about fell over when I saw they had them at Factory Online. They come highly recommended!
Foodie friends: Bed, Bath and Beyond is having a great kitchen sale. I spied some Calphalon, Cuisinart, and OXO products.
One thing I am very serious about is online shopping. It is hands down the easiest way to manage a busy lifestyle.
I will try to share more super deals as I find them!
Happy Wednesday! I hope all of my snowed in friends were able to stay nice and cozy today!
