Dinner in a Hurry: Salsa and Mozzarella Ground Turkey Wrap
One of my favorite weeknight dinners is so easy to make that it is hard to explain how good it is!
That would be the Salsa and Mozzarella Ground Turkey Wrap.
There’s nothing to it:
Whole Wheat Tortilla Shells
1 lb. ground turkey meat
Minced Garlic (Enough for sprinkling)
Cajun Seasoning (Enough for sprinkling)
Salsa (for topping)
Fat Free Sour Cream (for topping)
Shredded Mozzarella cheese – I use Soystation, but regular mozarella is just as good. (Again, enough to sprinkle. This is a “use as much as you like” non-recipe.)
Directions:
To start, break apart your ground turkey meat in a large skillet. Sprinkle the minced garlic and cajun seasoning so there is an even coating across the top of the ground turkey. Brown the ground turkey meat on medium-high until it is thoroughly cooked.
Then, add as much loose meat as you can eat (and wrap) to the center of a tortilla shell.
Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese over the ground turkey meat and microwave for approximately 30 seconds or until cheese is slightly melted.
Remove from microwave and add salsa and sour cream.
Carefully wrap your tortilla around the toppings so you have a nice turkey meat wrap.
Trust me, it tastes much more exciting than it looks!
It’s a nice, quick way to pack a lot of flavor into a wrap. Plus, the loose meat leftovers are nice to keep in the refrigerator for sandwiches and wraps later on!
I enjoyed my wrap with Sunchips and Guacamole.
Delicious!
